Miche Rene Federico, RYT

Miche Federico moved to Cary from Los Angeles, CA in the summer of 1999. Her original interest in yoga began with Bryan Kest sometime back in early 1996. It was nothing like she had expected, more challenging, and boy did she sweat! She loved the physical challenge without the competitive environment along with the peaceful state of mind and wonderful way she felt when she left class. She eventually found a teacher closer to her home, Mark Blanchard, who allowed Miche to grow even more on and off the mat. She continued her practice and eventually went through teacher training with Mark. Once she moved to Cary she taught for a while at various gyms. She then opened her own studio in January 2002, Namaste Yoga Center. She was determined to offer a place of comfort, non-judgement, and support for the community to practice yoga.

She has continued her training with Shiva Rea, Aadil Palkhivala, Baron Baptiste, Jonny Kest, and many more. Miche encourages her students to quiet the mind and honor the body and what it needs in each moment. To challenge, yet not force. To focus and be mindful, yet playful. To accept & love yourself as you are, yet allow for change. To find balance between effort and ease on and off the mat.

I have developed a course that uses techniques and principles from kinesiology to enhance and help make quick shifts in anyone's yoga practice. This course is called 'Kinesiology Enhanced Yoga'. Often people experince that their yoga practice plateaus- they can only strecth so far for a period of time before the next plateau. Kinesiology can shift this very quickly and amazingly. Yoga is also (for me) primarily a spiritual practice. Addressing other aspects of a practice (besides asana) can also receieve amazing transformations in a short time with Kinesiology Enhanced Yoga.
